The President, Jon Claycomb brings 30 years of experience to the company. Employees have a minimum of 25 years of experience in the heavy construction business.
Claycomb Excavating’s forte is commercial work including clearing and earthmoving. Utilities include installation of new and replacement storm sewer, sanitary sewer, waterlines, etc. Recently Claycomb Excavating, LLC has been moving dirt for installation of several million gallon manure storage tanks. The crews have also been busy installing housing developments for a local homeowner as well as several retirement home facilities in the Blair, Cambria and Centre County region. However, Claycomb Excavating is still your “go to” for your smaller projects including excavation of house foundations, road construction, land clearing, pool excavation, septic systems, seeding & mulching, rock removal, and a mini excavator and a small dump truck service.
Claycomb Excavating, LLC also has 25 years of experience in the wildlife habitat improvements which includes stream bank restoration, livestock waterway crossings, placement of fish habitat structure, construction of wetlands and planting of wetland plants, trees and shrubs as well as creating wildlife food plots to benefit PA’s white-tailed deer, woodcock, ruffed grouse, and the Eastern wild turkey. The crews also complete wildlife habitat plantings in hardwood forests, in select /clear cuts for forest regeneration and as well as riparian plantings. Lois, our planting crew leader has over 20 years of planting experience while she holds a Wildlife Technology Degree from Penn State University to give you technical support also.
